About the Founder Sia Shamsai
Over the past 20 years I've worked with businesses such as Dominos, QSuper, Qantas, Super Retail Group and many others to ensure that their SQL infrastructures are correctly designed, configured, monitored, performance tuned and maintained using industry best practice methodologies, and a focus on recoverability and DR solutions that meet or even exceed the business' requirements for RTO and RPO.
With a passion for SQL Server performance tuning, and more recently diving into big data analytics and business intelligence systems, my mission for DBA Services has always been to provide businesses of any size or SQL Server complexity, with a cost-effective solution for accessing the same specialist SQL Server skillset and technologies for their business, as used by some of Australia's largest SQL infrastructures.

A while ago we had serious database locking issues while trying to integrate transactions into our ERP system. We investigated, involved our support partner and later even the vendor. After 6 months of no success (and very unhappy users) we involved DBA Services in trying to get to the bottom of the issue. It didn't take them long to pinpoint that a specific index in our database was not performing optimally and recommended to recreate it. After the change, an integration that timed out after 15 minutes completed in less than 10 seconds!
Our environment is extremely complex and years of bad practices have resulted in many issues which we were unable to explain.
